We started in 2017 with a single mower and a route that fit on one page. Nine seasons later, the route is full, the eight services run year-round, and Yelp put us on the 2025 Top 10 for KCK lawn mowing. That kind of nod doesn't come from a marketing push — it comes from the same crew showing up every Tuesday for years.

About Funes Mowing
One mower in 2017. A KCK route, eight services, and a 2025 award later.
Funes Mowing started in 2017 the way most KCK crews start — one mower, one truck, one route through Wyandotte County. Side jobs turned into a weekly route. The weekly route turned into a real schedule. The real schedule turned into eight services that cover most of what a yard in Zone 6a needs across the season.
Nine years in, it's still the same crew showing up. The work is still residential first, commercial when it makes sense, and the phone still rings to a person who actually walks the property before quoting. The 2025 Yelp Top 10 nod was a real one — and we'd rather earn it again next year than print it on a billboard.

What we do — KCK
Eight services, tuned to the Kansas growing season.
Built for fescue blends and Midwest weather. Mowing March through October, leaf cleanup into November, ice prep when it lands.
Edging
Crisp lines along drives, walks, and bed borders. Done every visit on weekly routes — not as an upsell, as the standard.
Trimming
String-trim around trees, posts, fence lines, AC units. Hand-trim hedges on routes that include them.
Yard cleanups
Spring debris pickup after the wind season. Storm clears. Fall leaf hauls — sycamore, oak, and maple loads from the older KCK neighborhoods.
Mulch installation
Refreshed beds in spring or fall — hardwood, dyed, or natural. Edged before, watered after, no mounding around trunks.
Landscaping
Bed renovations, perennial swaps, shrub install, river-rock and stepping-stone work. The everyday yard improvements that don't need a full design.
Custom landscape design
Front-yard refreshes, full backyard rebuilds. Drawn on paper first, walked with you before a shovel hits ground.
Commercial lawn care
